Introduction of Switzerland :

Switzerland is a small mountainous country located in central Europe. This landlocked country is about the size of New Jersey and is between France and Italy. It is also bordered by Austria, Germany, and Liechtenstein.

The Switzerland Embassy, Dhaka processes all kind of visa as Tourist, Business, Student, Transit, Family visit, Official visa etc. of Switzerland in Bangladesh. Applicants have to attend in person at The Embassy & submission procedure is Appointment basis. GOAL tours & travels provide consultancy & other services for short term visa application.

Personal Documents:

• Appointment letter, Online visa application form and signed and dated by the applicant, Previous refusal letter, if available
• Current Passport of valid for minimum 3 months, having at least two free “visa pages” and Old passports. If immediate previous passport is lost then a G.D (English) copy are required.
• Photocopy of current passport (only data page)
• Two passport size color photograph (35 mm x 45 mm) full faces, light background, no older than six months (unstapled and less than 6 months old).
• Birth certificate/National ID Card (smart card – if available) of applicant, spouse & children
• Marriage Certificate (Nika Namah for Muslim, Marriage Act for Hindus) divorce certificate (Talak Namah for Muslim)/Death certificate (for widow or widowers).
• Cover letter from the applicant explaining in details the purpose of the visit, addressed to Embassy of France attaching business card.
• For non-Bangladeshi applicants: Bangladeshi Residence Permit, valid at least 3 months beyond the intended date of departure from the territory of the Member States & Documentation about activity upon return in Bangladesh e.g. work contract or proof of enrollment in a university or school.

For minor:

• Consent of parents or custodian if both parents are not travelling together.
• Photocopy of passport of parents or legal guardian
• Proof of economic means of parents or legal guardian (refer to point 1)
• Birth certificate of the minor issued by responsible authority.

Professional Documents:

• For Business Person: Trade license, memorandum of article, Certificate of incorporation of the company or organization, BIN, VAT, IRC, LC copy, Membership Certificate, Company Pad, Business Card etc.
• Employer letter (if Business visit) – short company profile as mentioning address, telephone and fax number of the company - name and position in the company of the countersigning officer - name of applicant, position, salary and number of years of service etc.
• For Employee: NOC letter – stating Address, telephone and fax number of the company & the name, the position, the date of hiring, the salary and the dates of leave authorization and mentioning the financial cover, Pay Slip (for last 3 months)/Salary certificate, Office ID copy, Visiting card, GO copy for official passport holders & for Official visit, members of Official delegations are required to submit GO copy, Note Verbal copy & a letter issued by an authority of the third country concerned confirming that the applicant is a member of the official delegation travelling to a Member State.
• For Retired Person: Retirement documents
• For Student: proof of enrolment in educational establishment in Bangladesh - certificate of leave of absence if travelling during school year. The certificate should mention full address, telephone number, permission of absence; name and function of the person granting permission - if school trips, letter of the school mentioning the purpose, the duration and the destination

Financial Documents:

• Bank solvency & statement for last 6 months (both company & personal)
• Other financial documents-such as FDR, credit card statements, saving certificate, share statement etc. (if available), salary statement (for employee) etc.
• Income Tax Certificate (For last 3 years) / TIN certificate
• Valuation of other Assets (if any)

Travel Documents:

• Air Itinerary
• Hotel confirmation or hotel vouchers or original of the attestation d'accueil (certificate of board and lodging to be obtained by your host at the French city hall (Mairie)) for all countries to be visited and for all the duration of your stay in the Schengen area

Travel Health Insurance:

• Travel medical insurance certificate, If insured through a corporate medical medical insurance scheme, the certificate has to state the name, DOB of the employee, the area of coverage, the amount insured and the expiration date of the coverage (No need for official visit & Transit purpose).

Overseas Documents:

• For Tourist Purpose: Personal Invitation letter & evidence of your inviter’s passport and status in Belgium (If available).
• For Business Visit: A letter of invitation from the host organization in Belgium. Including conference registration details, reasons for applicant’s visit, itinerary with contact details of the business parties involved, and applicant’s employment contract details.
• For trade fairs or congress: For trade fairs or congress, political, scientific, cultural sports or religious events or other reasons: invitation letter from organizer, proof of registration if applicable and program of the even

For Medical Treatment:

• Written confirmation of appointment of a medical institution in Switzerland affirming the necessity for medical care.
• Detailed information regarding the estimated cost and duration of the treatment
• Proof of sufficient funds for payment of medical expenses (advance payment receipt and bank account statement of private bank account of the past 6 months)

Visa Fee & Service Charge:

• Visa fees (For Adult) – Tk. 12,000.00 + Embassy Charge.
• Visa fees (Between 6-12 years old) – Tk. 6000.00
• Children between 0-6 years (until the age of 6 years minus one day) - No fee
• Goal Tours & Travel service charge TK. 3,000 (Notary and translation charges are additional- if needed). 

Processing Time:

• Tourist visa:  07 working days
• Business visa: 07-10 working days
• Goal Tours & Travel file processing time: 3-4 working days.

• Processing time, requirements and fees are subject to change by the Embassy/their Authorized Agent without any prior notice and they reserve all the rights to ask for any additional document other than above mentioned checklist.
